Joan's Story
After supporting Joan when she was going through a tough time, Ed, her lead worker helped her apply for the Crisis Changing Lives grant in 2019.
The grant helped Joan establish her dream of opening a bridal shop. In June 2023, she had her grand opening and is already booked for a bridal party of nine.
“The grant has impacted my life massively. End of 2019 and during Covid, that grant has allowed me to build my passion. I had a job but the grant has allowed me to do bridal. I was able to purchase the inventory and pay the bills. Because of the impact, I'm now able to be here at my own bridal shop.”
