Sean Marsh is an emerging visual artist and textile designer whose interest in textile art began through costume work during their film degree. Over the past three years, they have taught themselves to repair and upcycle clothing, creating scrappy, disjointed and entirely handmade pieces using only unwanted fabrics. Rooted in a DIY punk attitude, their practice challenges overconsumption, fast fashion and textile waste. For Unsold. Retold., Sean repaired and customised unsold garments to keep them alive and functional while creating distinctive pieces that stand apart from mass-produced fashion.

We gave 12 independent makers access to unsold donated garments and invited them to see what they could become.
The result is UNSOLD. RETOLD. – a series of limited collections for which existing garments have been transformed into original, one-off pieces.
50% of every sale goes to the maker, with 50% supporting Crisis’ work to end homelessness.
